Established in 1974 and nestled in the heart of Tasmanian wine country, Pipers Brook Vineyard in the beautiful Tamar Valley is one of the pioneering vineyards of the Tasmanian wine industry. Our wine reflects the exquisite natural beauty of our island home and the skill and passion of our team. We remain proudly Tasmanian owned by the Launceston based de Moor family. 

Tasmania is renowned for its pristine and rugged wilderness. Here in Pipers River on sites that were sought out for terroir similar to some of the most premium wine regions in France, we continue to craft the estate grown and bottled Pipers Brook label and Kreglinger Sparkling wines, as well as the iconic Ninth Island range. We have also recently released the newest additions to our family; Pipers Tasmania -  a modern twist on the traditions of Pipers Brook Vineyard.

Barnbougle Lost Farm is the second of the two World Top 25 Golf Courses at the Barnbougle Golf Resort. Designed by world renown US golf architect duo Coore and Crenshaw, Lost Farm is located on the ocean dunes adjacent to the Barnbougle Dunes Course. Opened for play in December 2010, Barnbougle Lost Farm is currently rated #3 golf course in Australia and #23 in the world.

The Derby Tunnel in Derby, Tasmania, is an iconic tourist attraction and historical landmark. Carved out from solid rock by miners in the early 1900s, the tunnel was part of a railway line used to transport tin from nearby mines. Today, visitors can walk or bike through the 1.2-kilometer tunnel, marveling at its impressive engineering and natural beauty.

Little Blue Lake is a stunning natural wonder located in the northeast region of Tasmania. The lake is a popular spot for swimming, kayaking, and picnicking, and is known for its crystal-clear, bright blue waters. Formed by a flooded tin mine, the lake is surrounded by lush green forests, making it a picturesque spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

One of Tasmania’s premier tourist destinations, Bridestowe Lavender Estate is approximately 50 minutes outside of Launceston. The largest lavender farm in the Southern Hemisphere, the Estate is famous for its spectacular annual blooms in December and January.

you will find us at the heritage listed schoolhouse in Branxholm. Constructed primarily out of timber, it is the perfect place for Pinocchio's house(casa).

The restaurant is owned and operated by husband and wife team Scott and Birgit McKillop. Having worked in the hospitality industry, both in Australia and overseas, for over 35 years, Casa Pinocchio sums up their love and passion for everything hospitality and food.

Our traditional italian cusine offered is meant to be simple yet tasty, freshly cooked to order and affordable.

Our GNOCCHI is handmade using a traditional recipe from Tuscany. We make our own dough to create authentic Italian PIZZAS, which are known for their simplicity and great flavours. Fresh PASTA is used for our specials and pork for the SCALLOPINA (schnitsel) is sourced locally from Scottsdale. Most of the fresh vegetables, lettuce and herbs used are locally grown.
